I would be willing to bet an X360 port could be done with one DVD.

Sure you would have to sacrifice the pre-rendered cutscenes to some extent, slightly compress the audio and some of the textures but you would get the same game onto one DVD which would be just as fun.

Absolutely. Especially seeing as the online component is seperate. GeoW has the online component on the disk, as does Halo 3. How long is MGS4 going to be?

MGO is not a multiplayer mode of MGS4 like MGS3:S and MGS:PO, it's a different game with different interface built ground up by a different team. The only thing it has in common is the MetalGear brand and the engine.

Anyways, it's very possible that the programmers had to span parts of the data multiple times on the BluRay disk to make the loading times better due to the bluray's slow disk reading.

Avinas_tyagi: Pointless?? I'm sorry but you're so full of fanboy BS that it's just getting annoying. Get a life and quit trolling, only a bitter moron would say that MGS is a game that you watch and not play. Ofcourse if there were a MGS minigame for the Wii you'd probably jump all over it huh?
