I suspected you learned similar principles I did, and now I am totally sure That's why I asked about the asshole part in particular. When I was field testing I found being nice hardly ever worked. It's ironic since most of them respond positively to some form of negative behavior (more like good with a hint of negative), and the more beautiful the woman the more I find this true.

i couldn't agree more. Weakness KILLS attraction. If she sees you as weak she will walk.

I'm less sure on the spoiling part. I don't do that personally. I will admit I did that with my last GF to a certain extent, but that was well after I established the desire to form a union. I find they tend to lose respect if you do that too soon, but they're quick to brand you as cheap if you don't spend - both of which are bad - so it has always been a delicate balance for me.

Glad to know you are faring well. :) I would too based on your description. I'm finding myself in a similar situation, but it is much too soon for me to gauge my interest and determine if I want to settle down with her, but for now I'm going with the flow. My target is a bit younger than I, so I'm expecting maturity issues. That's the deal breaker for me really. I'll keep bumping this tread to compare.
