Sony doesn't have a large enough first party of characters to make a game like Smash Bros. I don't even think most of you even know which franchises Sony actually owns, which is sad. The following series that some in this post THINK belong to Sony do not, Resident Evil, Grand Theft Auto, Crash Bandicoot, Tekken, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, and Metal Gear Solid. I believe there are only two other publishers that could make a Smash Bros. other than Nintendo based on a killer rogues gallery and they are Capcom and SEGA.
For the sake of this post though, I'd use a small amount of characters so it doesn't get ridiculous:

Ares-God of War
Drake-Uncharted
Ratchet & Clank(as one character)-Ratchet & Clank
Jak-Jak & Daxter
Daxter-Jak & Daxter
Nariko-Heavenly Sword
Sly Cooper-Sly Cooper
Gabe Logan-Syphon Filter
Patapons(An army as one character/controls just like Patapon does with rhythm)-Patapon
Chimera soldier-Resistance Fall of Man
Sweet Tooth-Twisted Metal
Golfer-Hot Shots Golf
Spike-Ape Escape
This looks like such a mismatched and boring lineup in my opinion. You've got some characters from E and T rated games going up against M rated bloodfest characters.
