Ok grandpa. Times are changing. People want consoles that do more then just games. Period. Your percieved golden days of games-only consoles are dead. Deal with it.

When the PS3 launched, it was touted as a media center, At the time Microsoft and Nintendo fans decried this and played it off as insignificant, not that the tables are turned Xbox One fans are talking it up and Sony fans are talking it down, times havent changed, excuses have.

Don't know where this comes from but every generation statistics are released that show it is actually the least requested feature, that only the vocal minority moan and whine about it.

Regardless of how big or small a number of consumers request something, if its added, its an additional feature to a hardwares list of benefits, theres no argument to be made here.

These "features" come from Kinect. For gaming its usefulness remains to be seen but for media control, content searching, and friend connectivity, it sets it apart from PS.

The most exciting aspect of media control with Kinect is voice commands, movement detection could and most likely would get old very fast, I know not a single person that still uses the original Kinect for anything other than the few Kinect games they actually own, as such voice commands add a personal touch to the navigation, fortunately, or unfortunately depending on your attitude, those who purchase the PlayStation 4 camera have the potential (and if its seen as a major thing once the Xbox One launches, you can bet your bottom dollar it will be added) to use voice control for navigation and media control too.

I'm excited as much as the next person about the new consoles, but the arguments for and against on VGchartz is getting petty to the point of repitition where people are genuinely pretending certain things dont exist, or bending reality to suit their arguments to one up each other.

Its stupid, people really need to stop, we sit around playing the latest games on the Ps3 and 360, do you care that these consoles are a significant step in power below the new twins? it would be nice if the games you were currently playing were on the new console, yes, but youre still playing them, youre still enjoying them, so who really cares if the PS4 is 1% faster or 50% faster, owners of each are going to enjoy the games they each get regardless, and from what we have seen so far, wether if be running at 720p or 1080p, they look great.
