Of course though Nintendo didn't copy Sony when they went to discs instead of cartridges.

There was discs in conoles before sony.

Ok fine let me rephrase that:

Of course though Nintendo didn't copy another company when they went to discs instead of cartridges.

Actually it's because of nintendo that sony even had the idea to come in and use CD's. Nintendo started the D pad, rumble, was the first game company to look into cd's(however they didn't use them first) started analog sticks, and to my knowledge SEGA did the first first party wireless controller on the Sega Saturn however there were wireless controllers as far back as Atari Akklaim made one for the NES look it up. Thus far the only original ideas sony has put into their console is multiple shoulder buttons and blu-ray/dvd to be used as movie players also. You can argue it all you want but it's a fact Also I find the Gamecube controller much nicer in my hands than the PS1/2/3 controller The PS3 version feels light like I'm going to snap it but they're all mildly uncomfortable to me and make my thumbs hurt. Then again this is all preference.
