Contrary to the notion that "720 with aa looks better than 1080p without", the 1080p image is always going to show more detail as theres a higher pixel density - the 720p image will appear smoother, but with lower overall detail, 1080p with a simple FXAA implementation outshines any configuration of 720p. This isn't the situation with digital cameras and "megapixels", this is a straight up solid array of pixels in 32bit, arguing that 720p can look better is just a waste of time. |
I agree to the point that a 4k game in PC barely will needs AA in the common screen sizes.
