Man you are so wrong. Your logic is illogical. We are talking about devs having knowledge of both machines, not coding. It doesn't matter who's coding, or their talent at coding. The fact that you keep making these arguments makes me think you are going to disagree with anything anyone says anything that doesn't make the One equal to the PS4.

Your current gen argument is still completely invalid. You shouldn't make comparisons of this gen and next. Absolutely nothing is the same as this gen. PS4 has better architecture and substantially more powerful hardware. PS4 games will always look and play better as long as the developer doesn't purposely gimp their game. PS4 by all acounts is also easier to code for. PS4 has a pretty large advantage in every area of hardware. No amount of coding and optimization will make up that gap. Nothing like the current gen. That is why any comparisons are pointless and invalid.

So you are telling me that every time you hear something on the news, or read something on a news site, you don't believe anything they say unless they out their sources? You must not believe in very much then. I can't believe you have the nerve to sit here and basically call all jurnos who use anon sources are liars who's sources are not only invalid but just some dumb schmuck that doesn't know what he's talking about. That is the definition of conspiracy. What you are doing is as bad as what you are accusing these jurnos of doing. Plus you have absolutely no proof of your crazy claims. Even when the NDA is over, a ton of sources will remain anon because they don't want to bite the hand that feeds them. You don't want to believe jurno after jurno citing devs from feb until now saying basically the same thing about PS4 being more powerful, more power to you. Just don't sit here and trivialize something just because you don't like it. No matter what argument you try to make to justify your beliefs, you are just plain wrong.

@Bolded: You are right, I have no clue what you are talking about.  You either have experience doing something or you do not.  Someone off the street cannot come to me and tell me how to develop a web site if they never actually coded one.  I am not talking about someone creating the nice pretty pictures on the site, I am talking about all the coding behind the scenes that is needed to make it work.  You cannot have knowledge of something if you have not actually coded to that piece of hardware.  What you are saying doesn't make sense. How can a developer tell you how to extract performance from any piece of hardware if they never actually did the work.

As for the power between the 2 consoles, I do not care if the X1 is more powerful or whatever to the PS4, I never cared.  I leave those debates to fanboys.  What I do care about is the information I am given.  My argument has never been about if the PS4 is more powerful than the X1, its always been about the source of the information.

Do You know what is the same between this gen and last gen , the developers.  You either have the skill sets or you do not.  There is no magic that makes a developer better just because the hardware change.  As you keeping missing the point, I am not comparing hardware, I am comparing developer talent.  This is something totally different than what you are stating.  You keep going on about power this and that.  Having better specs on the hardware end does not make the DEVELOPER better.  

At 2nd bolded point, do you have a clue what you are saying.  Do you actually do any coding or are you just making this stuff up as you go.  How do you know what can and cannot be done.

At 3rd Bolded point:  I question why would you always believe info you read from internet sites or get from news channel without actually knowing if its true.  I certainly do not and always do my own research.  If you do not thats fine but I have learned from years of experience to never trust any source unless I understand what is said and verify myself if its true.  I do not go around believing something just because it came from some website or news channel.

At 4th bolded point.  Yep, you got it.  I do not trust any source that cannot be confirmed.  I take those sources with a grain of salt unless I can confirm what is stated.  Its up to the jorno to prove their sources are legit not for me to trust in them.  You call it consipiracy, I call it keeping a level head and understanding that there are tons of misinformation reported daily from so called reputable sources.

As for proof of my crazy claims as you state, I am only using my experience as a developer for over 20 years, what are you using for your argument?  You believe I am dismissing information, I never claimed that.  I stated that until I can verifiy the source of the information it will always be suspect for me. 

Your arguments is invalid. You jumped in an argument about the comparison of the consoles power. Then you took an example I used to make my point and argued against that instead of what the original argument was about. I don't care how well a dev can code. That is not the argument. I agree with you that all devs aren't equal, but who cares, that wasn't the original argument. Like I said before, you don't have to be the best coder in the world to understand hardware, architecture and its theoretical capabilities. Hell you don't have to be a dev. You have to do research. I don't know why you keep going on this rant like I ever once said all devs can code the same, or better specs makes you code a better. I never ever ever said that because I don't think that.

You can have knowledge of something without coding to it. Like I said before there is such a thing as research. Better hardware with very similar architecture, with the edge going to the better hardware means no amount of coding can close the performance gap. Being a dev I would think you would know that.

Your theory that anonymous sources are just some random jack off instead of knowledgeable people is just what I keep calling it, a conspiracy theory. You are generalizing all anonymous sources by suggesting they all could just be joe schmoes unless they are outed. Most of the time they are giving you info you can't readily confirm, and would get them in trouble if you could. The thing is it's usually the journalist who is the unreliable source of info and not the anonymous source. Good jurnos always have good sources of info and make sure their sources are credible before putting out info, bad jurnos spread bad info and don't check there sources credibility.
