I'm so tired of Gabes nonsence about Linux being the future...
He pretty much spent all last and this year taking dumps on Windows 8 primarily because it includes a built-in app store and gaming hub that might threaten his own gaming service.
Well guess what Gabe? Windows 8 games so far have been a joke and you don't have to worry about that...
Gabe does have to worry about Windows 8 being a success though as it has by far outperformed Newell's expectations, with more than 110 million active users now. Also it has outperformed his expectations on his own service - Steam's usage statistics list the 64-bit version of Windows 8 is now the second-most-often-used OS with 14 percent usage share, compared with 2.15 percent for Mac and 0.10 for Linux.
Good luck convincing anyone that 0.1% of your own service's market share is the future Gabe.
