No a lot of fans saw the first one and hated it, they lost interest in his version of Star Trek.

I am a huge Star Trek fan. There was a lot wrong with both movies however I watched them both and I enjoy the second one more than the first.

Yeah I've seen alot of fans giving it stick in the forums, I never liked Star Trek much but I enjoyed the 2 new films probably because they're made for the new younger generation I can see alot of the older fans thinking it was nonsense
