With the internet, kids can watch porn..and who knows maybe come across 2 girls 1 cup at some point. Those things are far worse than GTA. Kids can also watch very violent movies like Saw and Hostal, and again far worse than GTA.
Every media suffers from what video games are currently suffering, only that video games are an easy target because of cases like this and that video games are still view as toys for a lot of people. You don't see a lot of people blaming movies, but you do see them blaming video games, they are just the easiest target and parents don't want to admit there's something wrong with their kids, so it must be someone else's fault.
