I just say XOne or X1. But yes Xbone is very disrespectful and as some one pointed out to me before its weird it doesnt get moderated. Ill post the exact message below (Not me saying it). To clarify this person left the site a long time ago. But i do agree with his point. "BTW I've always preferred the abreviation X1 over XBO. I think it looks cooler and it doesn't encourage the awful "Xbone" which should be warnings from mods if used. Can you imagine if Xbox fans went around saying PeeS4 or Wii Eww? Both would get banned, but for some reason it's ok to say Xbone or just flat out call it "The Bone"." Double standards on VGC. Good example is people saying Xboner and no moderations.

Just no, and wrong analogy: XBOne is an abbreviation, although a very mildly naughty one, while Pees4 and Wii Eww are LONGER than PS4 and Wii U, so they aren't abbreviation, their sole purpose would be to troll. XBOne is quicker both to say and write than XBox One, and while one letter longer than XOne, it's still quicker to say than it, as the double consonant "x" followed by the a semivowel and a vowel in "one" is surely more awkward to pronounce. Surely some people use it as a very mild trolling, but they use it mainly because it's quick and it sounds better than the original. If people want to insult XBOne, they'll surely say or write something far stronger than just that name, but for example they'll call it XBox 180, and not to insult it or its developers, but only MS and its many policy changes. Oh, yes, this takes me to the point where Major Nelson is most wrong: surely the vast majority of people doesn't want by any means to be disrespectful towards XBOne's developers, why should they, but just towards those MS execs responsible for the initial decisions and policies they had to quickly reverse.

That would makes sense if X1 and XBO werent both shorter ;)

Yes, but despite not being the shortest abbreviation, XBOne is still sleeker to pronounce than both X1 (same pronounciation as XOne) and XBO (even less sleek than X1 and XOne), and what's more, it's funnier, because it gets Major Nelson mad!
It's just that for the vast majority of people it isn't meant to insult developers, just to be quick and easy to say with the added bonus of very mildly trolling MS execs and PR people, and just them.
