A little off topic but I still think both the gamepad and miiverse were conceived around the same time. Nintendo wanted to do a gaming social network and the gamepad is a necessity to make it work, imagine trying to navigate around miiverse with a joypad or Wiimote it would be awful and clunky. Not to mention being unable to create wonderful drawings. A lot of people knock the gamepad but it is an integral part of arguably the Wii Us biggest success.....miiverse
