It's ok to realize Nintend left that tech race time ago. They simply won't and cannot compete with biggers companies like Sony and Ms.

Now they focus on making games as better as they can with the tech they have. Nothing wrong with that.

Wh not? They have the capital, and its not like they never made the most powerfull console before (N64)

Financially, for them, will be a wasting money. To make the games they want to release is more than enough. In those dark eras the portables were the ones profiting for them.

Being alone with N64/NGC and we'll be looking (maybe) an another Sega. Having the most powerful console won't fix their problems (kiddy/casual perception and lack of third party support).

Although, the casual perception of Wii was a good thing.
