Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) chief Jim Ryan has responded to the lack of a new Uncharted announcement, confirming PlayStation 4 still has a number of "triple-A exclusives" in development.

Speaking to MCV in an interview this week, Ryan was quizzed whether he thought the platform holder’s Gamescom offering lacked a major software announcement, such as a new entry from Naughty Dog's Uncharted series.

He replied: “You are on a never-ending treadmill of these events and you have to get the balance between doing too much at one and not having enough at the next. We felt having that slightly different approach at Gamescom worked. But then you will have different days, when someone – hopefully me – will get on a stage and announce a triple-A exclusive, because those games are being made.”

The most recent entry in the God of War franchise, Ascension, was released exclusively for PS3 in March. Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception hit stores in November 2011, and to date is the most recent console offering in the franchise.

PS4 is due out in North America on November 15 and hits Europe on November 29, priced $399/£349.
