I believe people have the intention of completing most games they buy, at least that is the case for me. And I will buy a game I am interesting in playing even if I have a backlog at that moment. In most cases it is due to a sale where it is too good to pass up. Buy 2 get 1 free at Best Buy and Gold Box deals on Amazon are the biggest culprits for me. And every now and then small game bundles on Ebay.
