You should know it's than, not then. Also, your logic says that 1.00001 million is NOT millions. If you had $1,000.01, you wouldn't say "I have thousands of dollars." That's grammatically and mathmatically incorrect. You need 2 of said unit or more. Since you do not have at least two whole millions, you can't say it's millions.

if your using an exact number, you never add the s. You dont say "i dont 6millions miles" or "i saw 4millions birds" the s is added to the noun
