To be fair, many thought this would be the gen that 60fps and 1080p would be common. Its disappointing to see that isn't the case.

I'd even settle with 720p to have 60fps.

This is a developer choice. It has nothing to do with gen, as in hardware. In any (recent?) generation so far and for at least the next one, there'll always bee better looking games at 30FPS than at 60FPS. It's a choice. 

But, since initially KZSF was supposed to be 30FPS, maybe they are listening to the requests for 60FPS since they are trying to do this. So maybe this gen will become the 60FPS gen.
