I know the PS Vita TV was announced and portrayed as something to be used with the Dualshock 3, though there is a point in this Sony Japan commercial below where a DualShock 4 is seen being used with it (0:49):

That makes me think it's feasible that you could use a DualShock 4 with PS Vita TV when playing Vita games and use the touchpad for times when the front touch is needed in Vita games, such as in the QTE sections of Uncharted: Golden Abyss.
Thoughts?
