i am not sure abt NA and others, but a survey showed that in japan there are really lotsa ppl are waiting for MGS4 to buy their ps3, because they are hoping if there is any price cut before MGS4 launch, also they think before the launching there is no games they wanna play on the ps3.
interesting, let c how much it will boost ps3 sales in japan ;)
