Yes I'm going for convenience too. With pc I always spend a lot of extra time in the settings to get it to run nice. Plus a keyboard on the armrest, mouse on a side table, and a wired controller isn't exactly convenient.

Today I got an automated call from my ISP, suspicious activity has been detected on your account, take action within 48 hours or your internet may be suspended. Calling them they could only tell me that their network picked up something that could be related to the ZeroAccess Trojan. A Windows 32/64 bit rootkit that's a pain in the ass to remove, no clue how that got past the virus scanners and malware protection. So far a full scan on all pc's and laptops has no result yet, thanks windows os.

I havent had a virus/maleware/spyware for years.

All you need is Eset Nod32 (Written in machine code, so it's fast.), Firefox with AdBlock Plus! and some common sense and you will be free from such hassles.

PC's are still useful for the simulation side of games, Tropico, Cities in motion, Universe sandbox, Euro truck sim, stuff you can't get on consoles. Otherwise consoles are much more convenient. But I miss the old days too.  I recently bought Rayman Legends for the WiiU, pop in disc and play? Nuh uh, system update, download game update. It was a wonder the shaky wifi in the wiiU held on long enough for the update.

Don't forget Real Time Strategy games (StarCraft, Planetary Annihilation etc'.), Turn-Based Strategy Games (Civilisation, Heroes of Might and Magic etc') and Indie (Massive choice), Multi-Platforms (Which look and perform far better.) as well as mods like Feed The Beast/Tekkit for Minecraft or DayZ for Arma, literally adds hundreds of hours to a game, with no cost.
Heck, entire new game franchises have spawned from mods, like Left 4 Dead.

You have a far larger choice of games on the PC too, arguably, something for everyone, several decades worth of game releases does that to a platform.
If you like the TV and controller, then you have choice with that too, set up voice recognition, Steam+Big picture mode and a wireless Xbox/Playstation controller and you're set.

Plus over the long term you also save money with the PC even accounting for the initial and long term hardware costs, games are far cheaper (Never bought one at full price, ever!), free online and Steam is more convenient in that it updates all your games automagically in the background, rather than having to deal with it when you play a game. - Literally just click and play.
