the gameplay is actually really really fun, it isnt the best, but its isnt just "meh" like when you first try it out. its actually really really balanced and really tactical. and it gets more fun as you play it. atleast thats what i thought about it

that makes me wonder, do you know how much the budget for TLoU is?

They didn't announce the budget, but Uncharted 1/2 cost about $20 million each.  I'd guess the budget for TLoU was probably between $20-30 million.

i find it amazing how they managed to do uncharted with a 20 million budget but GoW3 took a 48million budget to make. i wonder how big naughty dogs PS4 game budget is.

GoW3 was $44 million including marketing, probably $25-30m to create the game, makes sense it was more expensive considering the 3 year dev cycle, level of polish, 10+ hour campaign (quite long compared to most in the genre) & Hollywood voice talent like Rip Torn, Malcom McDowell, Kevin Sorbo etc which must have cost a fair bit. UC1/2 cost ~$20 million to create not including marketing, probably $30-35m for UC1 & $35-40m for UC2 overall. You know what is amazing? The first Gears of War had only a $10m production budget.

So yeah, similar budgets really, also pretty small budgets for AAA games. You could probably create & market UC1/2/3 and GoW1/2/3 for the cost of GTA V and still have change leftover, crazy.

I bet TLoU cost more than all the UC games, probably  ~$35-40m to create and ~$20-25m to market, so $55-65m, just a guess but looking at the game in terms of polish, length, content and the dev time, dev size, advertisement etc is seems like a good guess.
