You may not, but IRU-BRU actually owns the soft drink market in Scotland by a large margin over Coca-Cola. 

I also don't believe a lot of people drink it straight, I think more often than not it's used as a mixer.  Though don't hold me to that, I've never tasted it and I've never set foot in Scotland.

i've just seen pictures of horny Scottish co-eds (i.e. girls) and their rooms at uni being nothing but empty spirit (alcohol for us yanks) bottles and IRU-BRU bottles.

I know, I lived there and aware of the culture.  I don't care for fizzy drinks (coke/soda/cola/pop...depending on where in US you live) in general so have to qualify that.

I am also aware of Scottish co-eds, those ladies must have three inch skin to wear those skirts up and down Sauchiehall Street on a chilly Saturday Night.
