Well Mr. Smart, we can argue about the platform being the same or not... It is not because you can play Vita games than you call this a "Vita platform".
Maybe it sounds cooler and reconfort you about your mighty Sony and their greatness :) ? Playstation is the brand, Vita is just a device and yes the name is mainly related to a failure, so I think it would have been a good opportunity to go for another name, even PS.TV would do.

Nothing to argue. Playstation is the brand, and Vita is the platform. Sony called this the Vita TV but go ahead an take yourself above the press release.

Also you should take the time to read what people are posting instead of jumping to conclusion... We all read the press release AND we all ALREADY understand that Sony named it "PS Vita TV"... So I'm not sure what the hell is your point with the bolded quote :)

Oh and looks like I'm not the "only" genius who find weird for Sony to add "Vita" in the name. If you really want to believe that just becayse it "also" plays Vita game, it is automatically based on your so called "Vita" platform (yes, sounds really cool; I really understand why you insist on that); it seems that it is not everyone's oppinion.

Anyway, PS Vita TV is not a good name in my oppinion, sorry to hurt your feeling :(

No arrogance, just your ignorance. "Genius" could have been used toward anyone with any bias or opinion, tied or not. So I apologize to hurt your feelings since that one word seemed to have irked you anough to assume my bias (I'll bold your shots). A meaningful conversation could have same out of that without assuming I have some irrational tie to a corporation anbd thinking you are attacking it in some way.

Maybe you will see it, or maybe not. Take it as you will, I suppose.
