The lack of games is one of the WiiU's problems, but another is it's similarity to current gen consoles. Buying a WiiU feels like buying another PS360, but with Nintendo games. It’s not so much about the graphics, but rather the perception of the buyer. When someone is comparing which to buy, they can see an obvious upgrade with the PS4 and Xbone, which will encourage purchasing it. People love upgrades, can't deny that.
Irrelevant to if you think graphics are important; the fact is people care about them. There are enough people buying over powered GPU’s ever year (guilty) to warrant Nvidea to constantly make new ones. If that many people are prepared to spend that kind of money to just improve their PC graphics, you can sure as hell bet even more people will be considering graphics when making their much cheaper decision for a console.
