I highly doubt it. I'm sure the 2DS will do great in the long run, but the PS4 has some serious momentum right now (dem pre-order numbers). It's unlikely a re-design aimed at a specific age group, for a handheld that's been out for years, is going to be able to compete with the launch of a brand new Playstation home console :/
Maybe the 3DS+2DS will, but not just the 2DS. But who knows, the 2DS might be a run away success and sell a trillion units P:
