You are missing the context of where this comment was stated.  it was stated in Neograf and the MS guy Albert was disproving the threads that states the X1 is 30 to 50% less powerfull than the PS4.  Context is king in understanding why something is stated that way people do not take a comment out of context and come to the wrong decision.

context is one thing, by why list a % at all, because Sony never stated a % All Sony 's Mark Cerny stated was that sony built the most powerful console to date. the point is he stated.

that's the point he could have bypassed the % and just stated were not giving up any graphical advantage to the PS4!

Sony's Mark Cerny stated that , we made the most powerful Console to date, and yet both Nintendo and Microsoft has not disputed such claim!
