I am debating whether to build my own or wait for valve.  For a living room unit that needs good 1080p support and a small form factor noise levels this is what I was thinking:

Coolmaster Elite 130 miniATX

Asus 787i Delux miniATX

Coolmaster RS750 PS

Hyper N520 CPU Cooler

WD 2 TB 3.5”

Patriot Viper Extreme DDR3 1600 MHz 8 GB

About $640 so far but I like the mATX form factor as it will work well on the tv stand beside the WiiU.

To get great 1080p (for the  LCD in the livingroom) and good sound I was planning on adding:

ASUS GTX760-DC2OC-2GD5

259.99
Harman Kardon SoundSticks III

169.99

But I have questions about a few items.

The powersupply should be ample under load (130+280 for i5+760) but should I upsize it?

Is a non overclocked i5 in need of liquid cooling? The case will accomodate it but i am not sure it is worth it, and if so can you recomend one?

Is the repulic of gamers Maximus Vi impact board worth an extra $40?

I will be running a steam linux build and AMDs GPU linux drivers suck so I am not considering them. Plus 8gb of ram is tons when using linux (very little system overhead). I considered AMD processors but they are power hungry and run very hot... sweet price point though.

What are other people using for keyboards/game controllers on livingroom units?  This will be both WiFi and bluetooth compatible and I want to emulate a console type of build as much as possible.  Bluetooth keyboard is a given but are there any couch compatible mice ?
