Might Activision be in more serious trouble now than we thought?

I do have to wonder why Vivendi seemed so eager to drop them. Unless they believe that, while still healthy on their own, Activision presents little to no opportunity for growth (as the thread asserts, though decline will likely be slow and easily averted if Activision finds any fresh blood)
