Not trying to troll here, but I really think shoving Kinect down our throats is going to be the death of Xbox One.

if you'd look at the total picture a little better you would look less like a troll

 

If they sold Kinect separately like they did with the 360 it wouldn't be delayed in these countries, and the console could be sold at a much lower price. How are you going to say it was a good strategic move to do it the way MS did? 

If I was in charge I'd sell Kinect separately at $149 and drop the console to $399. Boom I just opened up 8 more countries to sell my console in, and it'll sell WAYYYY more units EVERYWHERE. And the people who actually want Kinect aren't missing out as they can buy it separately. It's Win-Win but instead they had to shove Kinect down our throats...which I'll bet anyone $100 just cost them this generation.

Selling it at a low price should increase the userbase and the software sales on the platform. but isn't if from a business pov better to break even and post profits to please stakeholders?you can allways drop the price later or offer a new package without the kinect in a year or so or a xbox one slim.

yes kinect is indeed increasing the price but so are the other features of the xbox one you dont possibly use shall we remove those also?

adding to that what if kinect isn't the limiting factor, but producing the console itself is? Futher more whats the difference  in the launch window between selling 4 million consoles in 13 countries or 4 million spread over lets say 30?
