Well, they are still printing money with Blizzard.

CoD's death won't be quick, either. There are still billions to be made with that franchise. Destiny is the only game they make that interests me, though, so I hope it's a success. Titanfall taking the up-front money from Microsoft might have been a long-term mistake, though, which might allow Destiny to do very nicely on Playstation.

Of course, I'm sure EA and Respawn were thinking that the Xbox One would take North America easily when they worked out that deal, which is kind of funny in retrospect. I wonder if they're as pleased with that move now?

I was thinking that the other day. Like you said, the deal was probably made back when the Xbone looked like the most probable winner for the US. The amount MS paid EA was likely also based on this too.

No doubt we will see EA carry Titanfall over to the PS4 the second they can (wouldn't be surprised if it's already in development), which will be good for everyone. Its looks like a great game ^^ I doubt I’ll be getting it myself, such games have never been my cup of tea, but it certainly looks much more interesting than many of its competitors.

Based on the complete change in perception about the XB1 outside of the core gaming sites, I think they willl be OK.  Now that all of the XB1/Doritos/COD ads start beating people down, the US market will be in M$'s corner.  Now, with the NFL season starting, it will only add to it.  The bad buzz is mostly in the past for the XB1.  Now they have to fight the $100 price difference.  That's what the ads have to do with.  Providing reasons beyond just gaming to buy the system or pay $100 more for it.
