Not sure why they don't implement a rewards program like Club Nintendo. Club Nintendo rewards you the most for buying new systems and games. This would probably help overall software sells for first party games.

Club Nintendo exists for Nintendo to do customer research on their own products. This rewards program aims to track broader consumer behavior. Games, TV, Movies in particular, but also social networks and other consumer behavior as shown by the "take a survey" option in the infographic.

"The worst part about these reviews is they are [subjective]--and their scores often depend on how drunk you got the media at a Street Fighter event."  — Mona Hamilton, Capcom Senior VP of Marketing
