Because the system and this game are promoted as console-quality on a handheld? It is a lot cheaper than the console versions though, so they should take that into account.

But the fact remains that it's a handheld game regaurdless of what Sony's marketing team says. The Vita is a Vita, not a PS3 and comparing it's games to PS3 games is just wrong.

But that is the major problem with the vita, Sony keeps marketing it as a shrunken PS3 that will have console level games (both graphically and game play wise) and a lot of people’s expectations has been set that it is just be a portable PS3, so them comparing it to Killzone 3 or cod is not that surprising. And the current library is not helping, most of the games on the system are ports, and one of the major release for 2014 is borderlands 2 a game that is available on every platform.

Exactly how stupid are people that they listen to PR speak verbatum without using their head to question anything.
Sony may have told you it's a ps3 in your pocket but after the first 2-3 times it's proven to not be the case, perhaps maybe you should stop buying into the hype because it starts to make you look stupid.

Dude why the hell are you calling me stupid? Sony hasn’t done anything to make Vita into its own system, just look what they did, paying to get Borderlands 2 on the system while they could have made a new ip with the money, not just that they keep promoting the system as a controller for the PS4.
If they really want the system to sell? Why haven’t they released sequels to original psp games such as Patapon, locoroco or instead of borderlands 2 they could have release Type 0 enhanced edition. But noooo, all they have been announcing are ports of 1-2 year old Ps360PC games.
