I've always gotten the "Hardened" edition of CoD games in the past, or the season pass, because they were $20 for all the map packs and actually meant saving money over buying the maps separately.

But now I have noticed that CoD Ghosts has a $50 season pass this time around?! Still just 4 map packs, so why in the world did the price more than double? For once, I will be happy playing the normal maps and never buying any expansions if they keep it that high. I'm not going the spend the price of another game just to have new maps, and I am one of the most competitive CoD online players (top 1% in leaderboards).

Any of you all notice this as well? What do you think?

EDIT: For reference, I believe I paid $99 for MW3 hardened, which included a year of CoD Elite as well (which I don't see as part of this one).
