You're out on a limb here. The movie's religion part is about christianity, and scholars do know who wrote most of the New Testament, when and why.

Hmmm, let's see off the top of my head, Moses, King David, Luke, Mark, Matthew, John....  They're all pretty well documented.   Now you could say, prove it and I can't, but then neither can I prove Agatha Christie wrote 'And Then There Were None'.
