umm no........you might want to research fatcs and see how long sony and others have had this tech working and been in development.

They've been working on this tech for years and yet with all their millions they still haven't been able to get it right. It took some kid tinkering in his parents garage to finally get people excited for VR.
Sony already released a HMD and it was mediocre just like most HMDs. Why would this be any different?

How is that relevant? Tech improves over time, amazing I know. Also Sony knows this tech is still experimental and not ready for mass production...It is future tech in its early stages. We should be glad companes keep trying to push things forward.
Imagine if every tech company said this......If it was nopt that good before why keep trying to improve it? WOW.

Point is, you can't really call them the pioneers. People try to say the same thing about eyetoy vs Wii. Yeah eyetoy came out before wii, but it was a half assed attempt that noone cared about. It was Nintendo that pioneered motion controls and got people excited about it. Sony (and Microsoft) just jumped on the bandwagon.
Same with this. Doesn't matter how long they've had it in development. They are late to the party and the title of pioneer has gone to others.

It eally is sad how quick people are to jump in with the "They are just copying" mantra. You can say that about any company. How do you know they are late? Sony na dothers have had this tech for years, everyone knows it is not ready for mass consumption yet so why push it to the mnasses? Not sure what you are event rying to say other then th try to get some kind of dig in ay Sony I guess?
