PC - Ahh, my PC for FPS and MMOs... plus RTS and RPG! I really like the PC as a platform, but I'm moving slowly away from it as I just can't be bothered with the cost anymore and I feel that too many games are designed for console anyway now. Still, ignoring cost you've got best online (better than Live and free), best graphics, best contollers (i've got m/k, gamepad and a joystick hooked up to mine), best sound, best media centre and highest storage capacity (in general I mean vs default console options). Major downside is that its not as easy to sit on a couch with a friend for some coop fun.

360 - good games console, but for me a cut down PC to make gaming more afforable (not saying that's a bad thing). I don't like the way peripherals are handled (i.e. for me a console is a single unit, not lot's of bits bolted together) and I really don't like noise, heat, power brick and RROD factor (although these are getting better I guess). Great library of games but I worry only FPS/action games really seem to sell on the platform, and that if PS3/Wii start to outstrip the console for sales of RPG, platform type games it will lose major support for those kinds of titles. It's okay as a media centre but current limbo for HD playback hurts the attraction in my eyes

PS3 - good games console that combines solid tech with good media centre capabilities. Hampered somewhat by architecture (in terms of how this has impacted quality of initial games) and price, but both of these situations are now sorting themselves out. A little unsure what it wants to be in some ways, which I guess puts some off. For me the console of choice next to my PC as I wanted HD gaming plus HD movie playback, so while 360 was initially in the running its 'add on' nature for movies plus RROD swung me to PS3.

Wii - great fun family console for what I think of as traditional gaming (i.e. Mario platformers, etc.) that are fun to play but also challenging. A little too underpowered for me (I live FPS and RPG titles like Oblivion, and after years of PC level graphics the Wii overall is just too weak in this department from my point of view). Still, so small and an easy choice for kids so I'll be getting one and settling for a PC, PS3 and Wii gaming experience.

Oh, and I love my PSP and my kids love their DS.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
