Gamers always want new ip's in their fantasy world but they rather spend their money on established franchises in reality.

Not saying it is good or bad thing. Just an observation and even an annoyance considering how many times people complain about lack of new ip's.

I mostly said that because in every discussion about sequels and new IPs, people end saying that publishers only invest in new game ideas at the start of a gen because people are more open minded and search for new experiences.

Well, this gen is starting and from all the new IPs announced so far (Titanfall/Destiny, Ryse, Project Spark, Knack, etc.) none of them has made it to the top twenty. If that's an indication on how the games will perform sales wise (which isn't), our hope for new games will rely on the hands of small/indie devs.

Please excuse my bad English.
