Again, the PS4 uses four tiny LEDs for the light bar, just like the Dualshock 3, Xbox 360 controller, and one less than the 5 in the Wii U pro controller. LEDs use up almost nothing, even if they are all on at once. It's rumble and bluetooth that kill the battery. The reason the Wii U pro controller's battery life is so incredible is because it only uses 1 rumble motor instead of the two found in the DualShock 3 or Xbox 360 controller.

The problem people are having is with the reflection in your TV. Like I said, "it can be turned off."
