How the heck are we supposed to reach the 2DS touchscreen?

There are different people in the market, and they have different needs.  For a 5 year old who won't use the 3D feature, it doesn't make sense to pay for it.  Some people aren't going to need 500 GB on their PS3, but that doesn't mean the cheaper 250 GB model is a bad SKU.

Please retract your terrible terrible statement if you expect to have any credibility in this argument.  Otherwise, haters gonna hate.

As for the content of your post, yes to all of your questions, IF YOU IGNORE PRICE. Why does a person buy the 4GB 360? Because it's cheaper. Why does a person buy the 12GB PS3? Because it's cheaper. Why did those ten people buy the WiFi only Vita? Because it's cheaper. Etc, etc, etc, etc. There are of course a few exceptions like the whopper jr having less calories but you get the point.

 

I've never said (or at least don't believe I've said) that people shouldn't buy the 2DS. For $130 it's an ok value. The closest I got to saying it wasn't good was my comment about the Wii U basic not being the most popular sku. I've never disagreed with the person saying "yeah it's worse but who cares, $130!"

I have however been arguing against the belief that the 2DS isn't a worse device than the 3DS and 3DS XL. When I made my comment about Nintendo pricing, I was responding to a guy defending its shortcomings. I said all the reasons why it is a bad sku compared to the others and instead of him saying the price counter acts those negatives, he tried to act like the negatives aren't real. Hence I made my comment about Nintendo themselves knowing the negatives are real. If Nintendo thought the 2DS was just as good a product as the 3DS, it wouldn't be $40 cheaper.

The reason I denied those shortcoming is because for myself and many others those are not shortcomings

I cannot comfortably fit a 3DS/XL/Vita/Tablet in my pocket. Im just under 6' and about 180lbs, by no means am I a huge person but im bigger than kids, most women and the average male, also I dont wear tight pants so thats not an issue. If I cant fit any of those comfortably in my pocket then that probably means a very large percentage of people cant either. So its not a shortcoming for 2DS since most similar devices cant do it either.

Another point is its a proven fact that the majoriry of adults who play handheld gaming consoles play them at home, eliminating the need to put it in ur pocket. Idk about u but when im not home, im usually doing something that wouldnt allow for me to play video games, those things could be driving, running errends, work, outdoor activities, going out to dinner or seeing a movie. In none of those instances would I be able to play video games.

Again this was built specifically for kids 4-6 years old, when someone that age isnt home what are they doing? Most likely at school where they cant play it anyway and if they did bring it, guess what, kids at school have backpacks. Or maybe there outside playing with friends where they wouldnt be playing with it anyway. Or maybe they are in the car while parents are driving or with them running errends, in those instances why would a 4-6 year old need to put it in there pocket? Wouldnt they be playing it?

Ur other point was that its harder to reach the touch screen. Please name me 5 games that require u to use face buttons and the touch screen simultaniously, I cant think of any. And like I said before I have relatively large hands and on the 3DS/XL I couldnt reach the touch screen without moving my hand, id assume kids, most woman and men with small hands have this problem as well.

Ur only legitimate point was the speaker and that is such a small factor that it really doesnt matter, the other arguments are invalid because both the other models face the same problem.
