Personally, I think one of the biggest reasons PC gaming lost out to consoles was solely due to local multi. I mean NES/SNES had two game ports, then N64 made 4 the standard. There's a reason for that and I don't think the rise of online play has negated the need for local multi. |
I love SP games too. What doesn't make sense to me is all the online games not having split screen. This is particularly inexusable next gen with all the interconnectivity. If we can play 16 player matches we should be able to have 2 people on screen. Hell Borderlands and Resistance did it and I love them for it. It's such an easy thing to add yet they don't throw it in for some reason.
