How can Sony (home) consoles sell more on average than Nintendo (home) consoles if Sony steals Nintendo's ideas?

The whole "stealing" argument is pretty much meaningless. That's a part of business that happens every single day throughout all industries.

Nintendo steals ideas as much as anyone else. Heck, they just lost a lawsuit over the way the 3DS uses 3D.
