The situation with W101 baffles me. I think - as a idea - the game has a lot more mainstream potential than something like Pikmin, which will remain incredibly niche no matter how much marketing is put behind it and even moreso being up to the third installment (when people may not have played the first two).

Yet the advertising was completely the opposite. Pikmin was given a fair push while W101 got nothing.

Given what Kayima tweeted about W101's budget, I'd imagine they're both in the same ballpark too. Surely it'd made more sense to split the advertising 50/50 than 100/0.

Aside from that, and to remain on topic, I don't really "understand" Nintendo Directs. They just seem to be announced so suddenly and over so soon. If I didn't read forums like this, I'd probably miss the news about them.
