The solar gun useful against frog attack on Big Boss run, instant full stun Vamp, and to quickly full stun the beauty human form (make sure you recharge it in sunlight), M82A2 you use to kill the machine part of Octopus fight (you can lethal weapon the machine parts it ok) and Rail Gun will let you kill Raven in 2-4 shots, also good to instant kill Gecko in MGS1 missile area when it exits lift.  Might need buy the M82A2 or Rail Gun during NG+, I forget.

Maybe save Big Boss rank for third playthrough if want to stock up on drebin points.  Once you got it though you can use stealth camo and infinite bandana for other playthroughs.

I'm doing a story playthrough first (no specific emblem)... after that I will for over 35 hours and all the collectives (I have a lot of time to get everything)... that's my plan for now.
