I do wonder how MS and Sony both managed to design their consoles along such similar lines and end up both using AMD. I wonder if there might have been a bit of collusion, perhaps involving 3rd party developers who insisted on less hardware divergence between platform designs. Making multiplats is going to be so easy now, which means lower production costs for games and thus more games that turn a profit with lower volume sales.
