They would essentially need to go to Nintendo HQ and bomb it. Nintendo is not going anywhere.. No, not even third party. They survived the disasters of the Virtual Boy and (to a lesser extent) the Gamecube. They will survive in the console industry no matter how horribly Wii U performs. They have so much money stored away they can ride it out no matter what happens.
And furthermore, MS only has the US.. It is largely ignored elsewhere in the world, so they are still somewhat of a non factor, at least compared to Sony. PS4 and Xbone are NOT in the clear to dominate, especially when you consider their prices in an economy that is going down the tubes.
