You may want to hold off on that pre-order, as the PS4 may be packaged with games and other goodies soon...
First spotted on Amazon France, the upcoming PlayStation 4 is to be packaged with a second DualShock 4 controller, the PlayStation Camera, and Killzone: Shadow Fall, all for 499 Euros. This was first considered an accidental leak and possible rumour, but Sony has since confirmed that the console will come in bundle form in the near future in other regions.
Talking to VideoGamer.com, Sony stated that this could be the first of many such bundles. “We're tremendously happy with our overall value proposition, whether that be the entry price point of the machine [or] the detailed bundles and combinations that we will put on shelf at retail which we haven't fleshed out in detail as yet.”
At the time of writing, PS4 bundles in other regions have yet to be announced, and there's no confirmation on the rumours of a PS4 and Vita bundle.
It's no real surprise to see such a PS4 bundle arrive, and in time there'll be plenty of options on offer, there always are with new consoles, and that's not including the various store-specific offers that eventually emerge. More will certainly appear as the Xbox One chips in with its own packs, alongside the already confirmed FIFA 14 deal. So, if you can manage to hold off and wait a little bit longer (which will be very difficult given the anticipation for the unit), you may be able to get a better value deal.
