How do you feel about the fast food strike in the USA?

School teachers and cops get good healthcare, vacation packages, and retirement. Soldiers (active duty, anyway) get free housing and food.

They also provide a more valuable service and work in inherently more dangerous environments. I'd say that's even true for the school teachers. Not to mention those jobs require more time effort and training to do. Military members work upwards of 60+ hours a week not counting deployments etc. School teachers also work long hours often spending non paid hours grading papers etc. As do cops and firefighters.

The point is they aren't anywhere near comparable in terms of value and yet their wages even when you include benefits are woefully lacking. I think people who work in low skilled, PLENTIFUL job markets such as fast food should probably be thankful they have a job in the first place.
