It's funny. Everyone always complains about how you can't physically survive and you'll die in a ditch and stuff if you make minimum wage, but it's always been more than enough for me. As long as you have a roommate, don't have kids, and spend your money well, you'll have money left over. Hell, I worked for just a little over minimum wage for a few years and still bought basically all the games and MTG cards I wanted.
If you're supporting a family, then yeah, minimum wage isn't going to cut it. But at that point you shouldn't be working at Taco Bell. As many have already said, it's a job for kids and it pays fine considering.
On another note, I wonder how much they're paying scabs and the moment...
