I have my doubts on how much blu-ray will play a factor for the "casual" adoption. Chances are that by the time HD becomes that widely adopted and DVD finally goes on the wane, there will be cheaper blu-ray players out there. And multimedia hub systems have never proven a hit with the casual mass adoption crowd.
As for the price, Sony has said themselves that now that the PS3 sales are better, don't expect much price cuts as they had been.
