• PS4 = Shooterstation

• Infamous not even in Top 10

It's launching in February

And Titanfall hasn't even a release month (and is also on two other platforms, unlike Infamous) but some Sony fans still made fun of its X1 preorder numbers (in this other thread about the same topic). Also: If I was a Playstation or Sony fan (I'm not, I'm just a PS3 owner), I'd be worried about the fact that my most favorite platform has from a platforming/RPG system into a FPS/TPS dominated system in just one gen.

You forgot one thing and it's in the thread title...

"USA only"

NA is dominated by FPS/TPS gaming.

Nope, the trend is the same in Europe and Sony don't really counter it, they encouraged it already during the PS3 era and seemingly even more with their next system. Fresh ideas and/or revival of old genres are relegated more and more to "small" games (Knack, Pupeteer, Tearaway) or money-hatted (there, I said it) through indie devs. While MS, the company that was once ridiculed for the dominating FPS/TPS genre (which still are be very dominant on their next system), invested a lot of money in integrating Kinect 2.0 and games like Project Spark.

Just because people are buying FPS/TPS games does not mean Sony will stop supporting different genres of games. Seriously, look at the types of games the PS3 is getting and all the indie love the PS4 is receiving.
